tkaste
I recently picked up a 1995 Legacy Wagon 5sp with 157,000 miles on it and so far its been a great car. Went from PA to FL to pick up a 140hp outboard engine for my son's boat (engine in the back of the car had more hp than the engine under the hood!), been up to CT and Cape Cod to do some fishing. Love this car. The exterior paint is horrible, I was thinking of using rubbing compound to clean it up a bit but I am not sure if it has a clear coat. thanks for any help. TheLoyale
I believe the paint on the newer Soobs has the clear coat mixed with the paint (Like Toyota does) Have you tried waxing it by hand? try Mothers california gold cleaner wax. Rubbering compoud should be used as a last resort if at all. -Tom

This would require a lot of prep work in order for the new lacquer not to fish eye or just flake off months down the road, plus you would need ot mask everything off, thats some intensive work I think lol.. But it is an idea non the less.
