imprezaII
Looking for another Subaru for a while , came across this 2003 Outback H6 VDC. High mileage 234000 KMS. Not smoked in , green in colour. Anything we should look out for? Thanks, Casey
Gloyale
does the trans make any whining noises? ON the 03 H6 we bought, the pinion shaft bearing in the front diff was toast. So bad it was taking out the seal between the Front diff and the trans, allowing fluid interchage. H6 trannies are particular to that model. Make sure it sounds good with no gear whine. otherwise, the H6 is a great car, allthough ours is not a VDC so can't advise about that.

skibumm
I have a 2001 vdc, 125,000 miles, great car, but lookout for the serpentine belt pulley bearings, they go bad quite often. I took mine on a 4200 mile ski trip this spring to Colorado, the car was assume in a blizzard through Vail Pass on I-70, Couldn't see 20 feet in front of me at times, forecast was for 31" of snow in Vail and there was every bit of 15" of snow on the I-70 pass. The week before there was a 47 car pile up in the pass. In Colorado they don't use salt on the roads, so the packed snow turns to ice, good thing they make the Semis use chains. With the vdc and a good set of all season tires, the car never slipped at all. Only problem was avoiding 2 wheel drive cars that had stopped on or along the road.
