DEVO
I have a 2000 Outback with an intermittent window problem. Sometimes it doesn't want to go back up. I have thought about taking the switch out and trying to see if it's just dirty contacts, etc., but it seems like the easiest thing would be to just replace the master switch. I have found a used master switch in good condition from a 1999 Forester, but have not been to find out if it will fit/work in my 2000 Outback. I have looked at pictures of both (have not taken the one out of my Outback yet), and they look really similar, but still not quite sure they are interchangeable. Anyone know? Thanks! idosubaru
in general outback (i'm assuming it's not an "impreza outback"?) and forester stuff is often not interchangeable. outback is a legacy platform, forester is an impreza platform and they usually get different trims and interior bits. is it that hard to just find an outback switch? DEVO
Thanks. It's just that the Forester one I found looked to be be in better shape (and was cheaper) than the used Outback ones I have found. I did find a new Outback one, but not sure I want to spend $130 yet. I think I will keep looking for a good used Outback switch.
