sil3ntb0b Posted July 20, 2010 Share Posted July 20, 2010 i have a 1988 Subaru gl and i replaced the timing belts earlier and now it turns over fine and dandy but it will not start. i did a full tune up on it. cap, rotor, wires, plugs, oil...etc. a buddy of mine told me it was the stop lamp switch prevent it from starting but I'm not sure. any ideas!!!! nipper Posted July 20, 2010 Share Posted July 20, 2010 If it ran before you chnaged the belts and doesnt run now, there is only one possible conclusion: the timing belt is not set properly.
