dzld231
Need to release the E-Brake on my 90 Subaru Loyale.... What is the easiest way?
idosubaru
find out which side is stuck. first thing i'd do is just unstick it. remove tire, work it around. i did that once and it never came back.
hatchsub
If its stuck the cable is probably getting rusted up in the housing. What gary said..pull both front wheels and figure out which cable is seized. You can try working it around but that has never worked for me. If its seized that good then id say just unhook it at the brake for now until you get a new cable.
dzld231
Got it unstuck by using WD-40 and hit it with my screw driver till I saw it move, then I worked it back and forth by hand till it was released..... But..... The grinding continues..... Gonna have to wait till my next day off and remove the wheels and check my pads..... FAIL. Thought for sure it was just my ebrake. hatchsub
Probably the slides on the caliper. Time for a rebuild...or just buy a rebuilt and packed set from Rock auto. They are dirt cheap...like 40 bucks if i remember right.
