sti-nkr
I know I havre to pull the front axles and put the stubs back in... how do I get the stubs off the old axles to put back into the car? Grinder Torch Sawzall zzz But if you want to reuse the axles, you could probably just disassemble the outer cv joint and cover the open stub with something. And to reassemble, just repack the joint with bearing grease and put everything back together. Twitch
Psyko
If you don't mind the occasional rattling, you can just pull the ball joints out of one of the front axle's DOJ. Leave the cup on the transmission and just let the end of the axle shaft bounce around in there. That's how my Brat currently is.
sti-nkr
I got out my BFH and made the axle leave its stub. Now in my furious caveman beating i bumped the threads a little... which messed up the nut, now I gotta go buy a new at the junkyard. Going to bang the other one out tomorrow, a little more carefully. It seems this may have happened to the previous owner as well... the nuts are different. carfreak85
I used the BFH method as well, worked just fine, but took forever.
