Caboobaroo
The disty in my 79 is an 84 4wd electronic disty. I think its a Nippendenso. I can get pics of it tomorrow because my digital camrea is dead. All I did was pull off the ballast resistor (white box on coil) and there's also another box on the coil if I can remember that is metal that you also remove. Then its a matter of hooking it up (2 wires) to the coil and BAM its done. It was pretty easy when I finally figured it out:D
Hondasucks
I don't think that is a 4WD Dizzy I gave you Russ, the 49 state 4WDs used a Hitachi dizzy, where the 2WD and California 4WDs had a Nippondenso. The 2WD dizzys have a sharper advance curve than the 4WDs however :-)
CamoMan
yeah, some pics would be awesome! I'm not sure how good mine is because I haven't fired my brat up yet since i got it home. it just looks all rusty. i heard it run before i bought it and the guy said he was trying to fix the carb so i could drive it home but he wasnt successful. i'm not totally convinced that he knew what he was doing or that he even tried beause he still had the carb off when i went to pic it up. when it WAS running it ran..ok..but wasn't right and def sounded like a fuel prob or something else but the eng sounded fine. so should i get a 2wd disty? thanx guys.
