ezapar
Looks like Durangos slipped thru the cracks. You will still find them in truck/suv even though they are a station wagon. Must be good to be the boss.
Flowmastered87GL
They even have Dodge Caravan taillights. And the new ones have a car height front bumper :-p Kinda funny how the forester is ok, but an outback isnt... i guess there need to be lines of some sort though. Either way I'm just going there so I can flog on the car for 4 laps
Dr. RX
I can't believe his statement about no one calling a Durango a station wagon, then tells us the Jeep Grand Cherokee has the same chassis. I have always considered the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 4WD station wagons, so by guilt of association, that would make the Durango a station wagon. Then he goes on to say that techincally the BRAT shouldn't be in the class. ??????? So, I guess he wouldn't allow any of the small truck in the class either, like the old Chevy LUV, the Dodge D50, and similar light trucks. The boy need to get out of the competition if he is going to set up the rules.
edrach
As far as I know, Scott has retired the Durango from rallycross competition. He showed up at the NWR event last weekend in a Toyota AllTrac. Personally, I think the ORG group made the correct decisions on this. Brats are in Truck; the wagons and such go back to Production. There is a limiting factor to this since there's not likely to be much of an increase in Brats running in the class. Having just gotten my Brat back from the bodyshop with a new rear bumper, the availability of parts (actually, lack of parts) will cause the number of Brats to be significantly reduced over the next few years. subaru_styles
when I was in mexico i saw a 2001 vw pickup truck...
Hondasucks
I should show up in a Vanagon Syncro, that's an SUV right lol.. Also, the Transporter I beleive is the cargo paneled version of the Vanagon, and what they called the Vanagon in Mexico I think.. The pickup Vanagons were the Single Cab pickup and the Doublecab ("quad cab"), and of the Syncro Doublecabs, only 18 were imported to north america, one of which got trashed during shipping. Got this from http://www.vanagon.com... I'd love to see the look on Scott's face if I showed up in a Syncro camper with a SVX motor and mud tires :-P
Qman
Come on guys. Let's try to keep this relative. Scott is trying to do his job. He has began racing a Toyota Celica AWD. He really has nothing to gain from this ruling. Let's not try to piss ORG off by bringing in obscure SUV's and complicating things. Prior years have had the Brats running with trucks and wagons running with PG or PGT. A good driver can be competetive in either class. Unfortunately a modified GL may or may not stand a chance against the open class.
