Wheel Covers...

Recommended Posts

So since most of the stuff Ive been doing on my Subaru has been with Rick (GD) I havent really posted on here...

But heres an update so far:

Needs:

Carb work (GD has this covered)

Electrical Gremlin (GD has this covered too) *Im eating fuses for my coil*

Alignment (November)

Tags (November)

Tune-Up

Done so far:

New Alternator

Axle Boot (EJ22 Swapped)

Tires/Wheels from 155s to 185s

Clutch cable rerouted correctly

Ball Joint replaced

Shes running great and smooth, still doesnt like to stay alive on start-up when its cold, but that should be solved by a new Carb.

Tonights project (since I have nothing better to do)

Wheel covers. 2 have been sanded down, cleaned and primered (see pics) theres a before with no sanding, and a picture of one primered. The spokes will be white, and the inserts between them black. The outter edge will be black as well... The SUBARU logo will either be a vibrant red or Subaru blue here soon...

The car is white, so I figured theyd look good this way. Rick gave me the idea to make them look nice and then make them white... I was going to just spray them black and call it good... but Ive put some time into them now... I dont expect my Subaru to look new again, but I definately love how good it looks for a 26 year old car :)

Check the Choke, and bowl vent solenoids for short to ground.
