jagris
Head is removed and two lifters lash adjusters wont come out. I've been prying and pulling and can not get them out! I want to get them rebuilt but how the heck do I get them out of there? They will spin in circles, all the others came out no problem but these two are being very naughty. HELP! idosubaru
yeah they can be a real pain. if you're going to have the heads resurfaced, which you should anyway, just take them to a machine shop and they'll pull them out. they do this stuff all the time. not sure what they do but they've always pulled them out when i leave them in. some alternating heat and PB Blaster may help but i'd be careful with the heat. jagris
Not too worried. I'm gonna deal with it when I actually start putting this thing back together next week. Thanks. Will try heat. Was trying not to spend a lot of money on resurfacing but I guess I might have to just to get the lifters out.
idosubaru
soak them now in diesel or ATF or PB Blaster, let them sit a week in it. then put it in the oven  that should get them out. "hey honey, you done with the stove?"
