powderhound
Turned my wipers on with a bunch of snow on the windshield...got out and assisted them and they started moving. As I was clearing the snow off they stopped moving. I can hear the motor cycle on but they don't move. What have I broken and how can I fix it? tia. Fairtax4me
Could be the linkage on the wiper motor itself if neither wiper moves.
GeneralDisorder
Model and year? If it's what I think it is - the wiper transmission is probably borked. They run about $65 or so IIRC. Pretty simple to change out. GD
powderhound
that was my thought GD. Its a 95 legacy. Any insight as to where I can find a how to? Do I swap out the whole motor or is the transmission separate? car-part.com only lists a motor, no transmission.
GeneralDisorder
Last one I got was at the dealer. Try NASIOC for discussion on this - it's a common failure on the Imps. GD
