ShawnW
Im trying to figure out if I can make this work. XT6 pump, ea81 turbo steering rack and lines. Looks to be pretty straight forward getting this part to physically hook up. I know I will have some electrical to figure out. Right now I am wondering if the fluid for an xt6 pump is going to work in the lines and rack that normally takes ATF. Potential for leaking, too thick viscosity, too thin? TomRhere
Been a few XT6 owners that switched to ATF vs the Cybrid Fluid, as it's getting hard to find.
idosubaru
like he said a few have switched to ATF without issue. you planning on installing the entire wiring/control system or just making your own?
ShawnW
Not sure. I thought about making it have a toggle switch initially. Is it more complicated than that?
Crazyeights
Well, I know there is at least module and a sensor at the base of the steering wheel involved on the XT6. I saved an extra pump, controller, and lines when I sold my XT6. If you figure this out I would love to know. The XT6 FSM has a schematic section devoted to it. I think it is still hosted on the XT6 forum site. Lubegard PS fluid (Sold in the flush kit) seems to work well. About $16.00 for a large bottle I think. idosubaru
Not sure. I thought about making it have a toggle switch initially. Is it more complicated than that? No, not at all. It just needs power. I wasn't sure if you were trying to retrofit all the controls for it.
