ed_the_mole
Hey everyone - I couldn't seem to find any info on this anywhere, so I figured I'd see if I could get some help here. I have an '06 Outback, automatic transmission. Got the nonflashing Check Engine light and the flashing cruise control lights while driving home over the weekend. The next morning (after tightening the gas cap), I started the car up and let it warm for 15 or so minutes. When I came back, it was idling at around 1500 RPM. I then attempted to pull out of my driveway only to find that there was no acceleration when my foot was on the gas, though it did move forward at pretty much the lowest speed possible. I immediately parked the car. I've asked around, and noone seems to offer a free scan to check the codes, and since I live in the middle of Wyoming, there's not a readily accessible dealership within 250 odd miles. I'd like to see if I can get some insight into what I might be looking at, if possible, without shelling out 50 bucks for someone to test it out. Any of this sound identifiable to anyone? Thanks!
