torxxx
I'm going to plug off all the IM stuff on my car so I'm wondering what size plugs/caps I need to get to cover all the sizes of vacumn lines.. Anyone know whats sizes they are on soobs?
stephenw22
I think most of the fittings work with 5/16 line. I just used a short plugged piece of vacuum line instead of a plug or cap at each spot. I used new line because all the stuff on the car had become too brittle. It also let me re-do the vacuum advance line for the disty (makes a pleasant difference). The Scooby
hey just go pick up 2 boxed of the deluxe vacume cap kits, like $2.00 each, trust me, they are worth it, also most of th lines are 5/16's, then the darn 5.8's heater hose for the PCV and exhaust recirculation crap. good luck man. torxxx
shean I went and bought some pvc end caps (3/4") and then wrapped a lil bit of black tape around the hoses and then threaded the caps on to the end of the hoses for the AIS system (the "exhaust recirc" deal you were talkin about) I bought some caps tonite. Theres some parts on the carb that have hoses but I wasnt sure what the were so I didnt cap them off. can u take a picture of the top of your carb and the front and back views of it for me? Then I can circle the hoses that I didnt take off and see if you did (compare the two carbs)
