sevenstars
Has anyone worked with camo vinyl graphics like this http://www.camo4u.com - I was given a camo accent stripe kit for x-mas and I am looking at installing it myself. Just wondering how hard it is to do.
Scoobywagon
It isn't hard to do. Just takes lots of time and patience to really do it right. It is something to do in warm temps. Make sure the paint is C L E A N. Apply lots of soapy water to both the paint and the graphic before you apply it. Use a squeegee to remove the soapy water and the vinyl's adhesive will stick to the very clean paint.
sevenstars
awesome - thanks
GeneralDisorder
Yep - liquid dish soap and water - heavy on the soap. That's what we used when I had to put graphics on machinery. I liked to use a mister bottle to spray down both surfaces before application. Get a small squeegee too - like one that is 3" wide. Will help to get in small areas and work out the bubbles. sevenstars
won't the liquid hurt the adhesive?
GeneralDisorder
Not a bit. It evaporates. GD
Turbone
won't the liquid hurt the adhesive? Most of it is squeegeed out during the application, the rest evaps.

ettev
Took about an hour and a half, maybe a little more, for both targa stripes and the star.
