blackhawk2k7
Sorry guy's - I know that I should be more thorough on my search's, but driving my newly bought '92 Loyale (vin 5, 4wd, Fi, non-hatch etc) home today my check engine light suddenly came on, I heard no distinguishable difference in the engine noise, and the motor sounded fine when I (thankfully) got home and popped the hood and revved it by hand... -My question is: What is the most common thing in that ea82 to throw a CEL? my assumption is a popped-off vacuum line, or cat. wire came loose etc... can somebody help newbie subie out? thanks, -BHawk
somick
Open a panel below the steering column. You will see your ECU with a tiny bulb in the center. Turn you key to ON (motor not running). Count how many blinks you have. Come back here and search for answers. Good luck, Sam
Rust
my check engine light has been on for the past 3 yrs on my 93 loyale. The car runs fine and I've passed emissions twice. My 86gl has the check engine light flashing for the past 6 yrs. I should investigate but I'm too busy fixing other stuff that I know is broken.
