EJ18 harness questions

I have a 1997 OBDII impreza 1.8 harness that's going on my Frankenmotor in my 1986 Brat. Would the pin out be any different than an OBDII 2.2? I looked around a lot and couldn't find anything on the pinout of an ej18.

Also I have been told that the ej 1.8 never came with a knock sensor, but my harness defiantly has one could this be because it's an OBDII?

I'm really using this harness because there is a lot less to it than some of the other ones that I have. If anyone has some insight or a pin out that would be awesome!

And if there is any reason I shouldn't use this harness I would prefer to hear it before I start in on it as I have 4 2.5 harnesses right now I can tear into.

Thanks ahead of time

memory tells me that my 96 EJ18 harness was different and wouldn't plug into my EJ25 vehicle i was installing the motor into. maybe i'm forgetting something, i had already planned to use an EJ22 manifold since it was much cleaner looking with fewer gadgets/EGR.

my EJ18 looked a bit different with an extra canister/piping and seemingly different idle/TPS controllers, but that might not mean anything electronically.

did the EJ18 block have a sensor or just the harness had a connector for it? the EJ18 block i used in my swap had a bored and tapped hole for the knock sensor, it was prepped for one, but was not in use in the vehicle. so all i had to do was screw one in.

doesn't much matter i don't think, just plug the knock senosr in and go like i did.

I dont see any big reason to not use it. For the most part the job is the same. Keep the plugs you have to have, cut most of the rest, and find all the sensor ones like oil pressure, coolant temp, check and memory, obd2 connector, etc. If you can find a diagram for that year/model you can certainly use it.

Okay cool, I can get diagrams pretty easily. I have access to All Data at school so hopefully it has the correct pinout and diagrams for a brighten 1.8 !

Same connectors and pins.

Howeverm, there are a few features used/ not used depending on whether it's an 1800 or 2200 CC. Noted on the pinout charts.
