2manetoys
Let us know how it works out. Where you got the Kevlar clutch and cost would be nice too as this is a future project for my 85 Brat as well.
bratclay
I took a 4sp 8 7/8" flywheel and pressure plate had them resurface it. Then took a 6 spring disc from a 5sp clutch and had them install some stuff called HIGHBALL its a Kevlar material. They when I say they it was ottis friction here in portland or. They said they use that stuff alot in custom made sandrails and stuff. Im excited to see how it does. Ill keep everyone posted. Ive never used a xt6 clutch so I wont be able to really compare. But Im sure Ill have someone else drive it that has to compare. Thanks Clay
NorthWet
Did they do anything to the pressure plate to give it more holding power, or just give you a driven plate that might live longer while it slips?
