GordoMillones
i just got my metal oil separator i was wondering do i need anything to seal it like any loctite 518? or should i just use the screws and leave it how it is?
ShawnW
Theres an arrow pointing at 1 bolt/screw hole. Put thread locker on that one. If its a brand new stamped one with new screws from the dealer it should have a sealant on that screw already and its a different color than the others. I thought you were supposed to use some of that 3M gray ultra--something or other as a sealer...? sorry, I forget the name of the stuff...the anerobic sealer thats used on the oil pump.... Olnick
It's Permatex Ultra Grey, not 3M. And it is not anaerobic but it is what most people seem to use on the separator plate. Good luck.
