92_rugby_subie
Whats the best way to do this? I have a 1986 GL Sedan that does its fair share of loud noise when I turn... The noise goes away after ~ 5-10 miles of driving. I had heard it could be strut wear, and its only on the right side, and also gives uneven tirewear, which I have not seen with my new tires (from 185/70/13 to 195/60/15) even though next to eachother, the stock tires/wheels and my new ones appear to be the same exact size. What should I do? I like the sound of KYB GR2 struts, but unsure of the total cost of this. Also, I planned to do a little bit of a lowering kit on it in the future, but would it make more sense do to it now (not right this minute, finances will not allow it) when I do the struts? ruparts
hi, it might be the wheel flange is alittle loose, the big nut on the axle and the cone washer can cause noise on turns, take the pin out and try to tighten the big nut, you should actually remove it and inspect the cone and flange but for sure at least try and tighten it. 92_rugby_subie
Will check this, but since it has been torn apart and put back together multiple times to figure out what the sound could be, its unlikely, but it could be a simple fix, so I will check it.
