MxNBandit
I have an 87 Rx with an ea82t, so I tried to start it one morning and it would not crank over. Figured it was the starter because I knew it was bad(had to hit it every once and a while for it to turn on) well I replaced that , also replaced the battery because it wasn't showing any volts when I first put the key in. So with the new starter and battery in it, I put the key in and it showed volts, soon as I turned it something clicked and then it didn't show any volts again... now I'm just lost...Any ideas? NorthWet
Battery cables (both ends, especially ground), ground cables, wire to the solenoid, fusible links. Possibly the Ignition switch or wiring from switch to solenoid terminal.
MilesFox
if the car goes dead entirely, i vote on bad terminal connections.

The FNG
I was told it was a bad terminal connection Yup! I just took a look at my battery connections and found they were very loose and rusy. Spent a minute with a wire wheel and a wrench and it solvrd all my issues.
