myrrdon
I have a 85 subaru gl wagon 1.8l that I bought at an auction. the timing belt was broke when I bought it. I'v replaced the timing belts and plugs I checked the plug wires and they produce good spark. the drivers side (pistons 2 & 4) are not getting wet and it refuses to start. NorthWet
Almost guaranteed that the timing belts were installed incorrectly. Happens all too often and is an easy fix.
MilesFox
Please search youtube "art of subaru maintenance" #8 and 9. This explains the timing belt and distributor alignments.
