jboymechanic
I'm about to replace the transfer clutch solenoid (duty C solenoid) on my 1995 Legacy Wagon with 230,000 miles. I bought the solenoid and housing gasket from my local dealer, but where can I get a reasonably priced clutch pack for the transfer clutch? With the mileage on the car I thought I'd do it since I'll be into the trans any way. Dealer wanted $350, so that's a big no, but I can't seem to find any options online at my usual sources (rock auto, partsgeek, ebay, and so on). Any one know where to get a new clutch pack for a good price? Thanks.
bheinen74
i am headed out now, but it was a transmission rebuild "supplier" out of Texas that i found the clutch packs available. for less than 50 i searched for 4eat rebuild at the time. then i went to friction clutch section. GeneralDisorder
Clutch plates run about $80 from the dealer - duty-c is about $110.... that's not $350. www.subarupartsforyou.com GD
jboymechanic
Well the guy at my local dealer had no idea what he was doing then. Any way, thanks GD, I've ordered myself everything I need. Thanks again.
