turboxtman
to set the timing that way you say I have to start the engine , but my engine wont run... I guess i will have to remove the distributor turn crank til flywheel shows 25 and then reinstall dist pointing rotor to #1 ?

turboxtman
last time i connected the green plugs and wasnt able to start the motor it filled my cylinders with fuel and then was hydro locked with fuel until i took the plugs out and threw all the gas out by cranking motor over, so i guess i will have to figure out some other way to do it .. on another note ive tried turning dist both ways as far as it can turn after setting flywheel to 0 and pointing rotor to #1 and it did nothing , so i guess i need to move flywheel by hand ... i dunno
MilesFox
Sounds like you are doing it right. The flooded cylinders scares me. The injectors should ground at the ECU, and are live on the power end. Let's hope there is not a short to ground somewhere. The fuel pump cycles on and of with the green plugs connected, but only runs when cranking or running without them. The fuel pump kicks on for 2 sec when the key is turned on. Can you replicate the flooded cylinder by just cycling the key off and on? Also check fuse #5 clock/horn/hazard. Is there some aftermarket stereo in the car? if the car almost starts, turn the disty more clockwise to advance the timing. it's possible that the disty is a tooth off. you can almost feel 'in between' gears if you lift ut up just enough to barely turn it, and you will cath that 'middle' tooth, and sometimes this is the difference of the timing being correct or not. If the car starts by turning the disty, but there is no more room to turn it some more, then this may be your case.

Rossi86
I am having the same issue I can't get my XT to start it is a GT-10. It will run on Cleaner until the vapers run out I need to know the fuel injectors specs. I have fuel and spark yet it's not runing, and the belts are fine. I had the same problem with a 91 camaro and It had bad injectors, could this be it? The car ran in 2007 and was parked for three years and a few months.
