burned the bulbs out.

Yay yay yay you fixed this. I always, every car i own (5 cars i have) carry spare bulbs in the trunk, glovebox, or rear cargo area........I have spare bulbs for all them. People in my town drive to me when they need bulbs.

Glad you fixed your burned out bulbs,

Cool.

I had it once that both bulbs burned at the moment I turned the lights on. I never turn them off but my brother did and I turned them on while starting (never do that again I think).

Last week one of my bulbs did not work anymore and it was a bad contact, the plate of the lamp had high resistance so I sanded it and moved the plug a bit and then it worked again.

Wow! Hate to admit this, but it was simply both bulbs had burned out. I am so used to things being far more in depth of a problem, that sometimes you forget to look at the simple answer:eek:
KISS is the solution: Keep it Simple Stupid is often the easiest solution. However, it would be wise to check you alternator output. If the voltage regulator fails and the output climbs above 15Volts, the low beam headlights failing together is often the first symptom of trouble.
