Kinda hard to be conpetative when you look like a Hyundai or a Lexus.

well when a new outback costs almost as much as a lexus, you can get a buyer to look your way if they are looking at that type of styling where they may not have otherwise.

im not saying i like the new stuff. too big and too much chrome for me.:-\

I really don't care for the Subarus beyond 2009, they just look like crap. Also, they turned the Outback into a terrible cross-over when it used to be one of the last remaining station wagons.

I changed the oil on my sister's 2010 Impreza and I couldn't believe how little room there was under the hood and under the car to do any thing. The exhaust was all over the place under the engine with little spaces to remove the oil plug and filter. Good thing the oil filter wasn't on overly tight, would be no room to get at it to remove it with an oil filter wrench.

Anyone in the alliance willing to go check out this car for me. I could send the money and then you buy it for me and i pick it up a week latter. Its a huge trust in me to send you thousands of dollars but i would be willing if the right person did it.

I'm curious tho.. how come you cant go get it? but you can drive farther to pick it up?

will the guy hold the car for you if you put something down on it?

just seems silly to drive an extra 2-3 hours out of the way to pick it up. thats all.

I'd rather not do it, only for the fact that if there is something seriously wrong with it that i miss, then id feel like a *************** that you spent that money on it and got ************ed.

EDIT.. really? they censor out C H 0 D E

I have no problem looking it over, the only thing I could see being wrong with it could be HGs, but those would be easy enough to spot a fix or if they are bad. And as long as the trans shifts smooth and does't slip when I punch it going up a hill, we're in good shape.

I would also talk this dude down a bit.

Though this is true it might not be a while until i can get it like another week. To find a rust free subaru turbo in the midwest is just simply unheard of so sometimes youve got to jump. I guess relatively speaking i dont know how far madison is from milwaukee. I could just take my chances and drive up there in a couple of weekends and see it for myself but i know the alliance has very knowledgeable members so it would be beneficial for me to have them give it a good bill of health. If this is a problem i can do it myself but 2k is alot of money for me to spend on a car so if im driving out of state to get it i want it to be good. Like i said, just throwing this out there.

i'll pass this one off to someone else. i bought a 'very little rust' car full of holes..:lol:

+1 to that lol!

But again, these EJ body cars don't rust out like the EA82s. When an EJ rusts, it'll be sh*t like doors, fenders and the like.

But Ben, there might be an issue of this car not being a Turbo by the time you come pick it up *Cough* shall we say Trash-Turbowagon? ;)

If thats the case then make sure you put in a 5 speed in place of the turbo. I talked to the guy and he said it was a turbo car. I was going to offer him 2k and see what he said. Thats about as high as i can go because now i need to pay for gas to get there and back. I would be worried about rust as well but you can only go off of what people tell you. He said it has had alot of work done to it.

So is this pretty much like the thread on DI where you just talk about random stuff? Or do you censor it more?

no, this one we try to keep more 'on topic' believe it or not. i guess my deebo pic is a stretch.. but eh. it happens.

deebo goes beyond Tiny Lister

Deebo is meant as a claim of ownership. Deebo expires upon loss thereof.

1. Deebo cannot be claimed behind your “Deebo rival’s” back. When being competed for, rival must witness Deebo.

2. Deebo exercises no prejudice. Deebo is simply, first claimed; first served.

3. Deebo action amongst friends is similar to borrowing, whereas Deebo action from Wal-Mart is similar to stealing.

4. Anything unattended is subject to Deebo. Once claimed, Deebo is in effect until left unattended again.

5. Repot is the act of reclaiming Deebo from the Deebor by the Deeboee whom has been Deeboed from.

Temporary Deebo

A Deebo is temporary when the item being Deeboed will be given up afterward, or is not a physical possession. Examples are:

Front seat privileges in a car ride. If you claim Deebo on the front seat, or Deebo Driver, you lose your Deebo once you get out, and thus it is subject to Deebo for the first one to claim.

First chance at doing or receiving, etc. For example, the first to pick or chose, or the first in rotation.

Permanent Deebo

A Deebo is permanent when the item being Deeboed is consumed entirely, or becomes inaccessible to others. Examples are as follows:

Unattended food. Any un-eaten food is subject to Deebo. Food in the fridge is also subject to Deebo. Ypu may claim Deebo if the posessor of food is finished, and is about to discard the leftovers

Unattended money in a public area. If you find a coin on the ground, it is subject to Deebo for the first person to claim.

Articles of clothing. If one leaves an article of clothing at your residence, it is subject to deebo until the original claimant returns, or observes the article of clothing in your posession.

Unattended cigarettes left burning in the ash tray. A half smoked cigarette, put out early. a.k.a. Ro-neece butts!

Public Defined

Public areas are anywhere considered public in general. Examples are a sidewalk, the street, In a building or on the floor of a public area.

An ash tray is generally a public area.

Private Defined

Private areas are ones place of residence, ones vehicle, or on ones person.

In some scenarios there are public places within private areas such as like a cupholder in a car. also an ashtray on a living room table would be considered public

1. To an extent if you were uninvited, you would have access to items that will remain in tact at the residents. examples: remote, phone, tv, etc..

2. Now if you were invited to the same house you would have more area to consider public, eg. an entire living room, invited persons would have access to consumeable items such as cigarettes, soda, and teepee.

Original Claimant Defined

The original claimant is the one who claimed Deebo on an item first

Un-Deebo

Un Deebo is the exercise of the original claimant repossessing Deebo. For example, if one leaves an item at another’s residence and leaves, the resident can claim Deebo. But if the original owner of the item returns, and sees the item unattended, he thus can claim un-deebo

Deebo Debt

When someone loses or destroys something under your Deebo possession, they are then in Deebo debt until the original claimant is compensated.
