Im usually the guy who brings his car in to get his brakes changed and what not. But after buying a Subaru gl10 and reading alot here on usmb I've been inspired to do an ej swap. So I bought a ej22 with about 100,000 on it from a guy for $450. It came with a complete intake from a '94 and wiring harness(well still waiting for the harness...hopefully will have it tomorrow). And got an adapter plate for $100 from Albie @ http://www.smithsoutfittingspecialties.com/ Also got a 4 inch lift with steering for $450.

So I got old turd out 'round 2:00 this morning. Not too hard considering I don't know what im doing. But it did raise a question...what do you with the throttle cable? Do you need the one from the donor car? Or can you rig the old one?IMG_20110308_012948.jpg

I used my stock Brat throttle cable for my swap. I'm not sure if that'll work with a GL-10, though.

Very nice dude, it looks just like my first Subaru, it was an 86 gl-10. Ah, turbo, 4 wheel drive, power everything, windows, seats, sunroof that car was so clean. Then I made a monumentally stupid decision and traded it for a minivan! :-\
