Hello, I have a home made buggy based on vw beetle with a bus transaxle.

Last weak I bought an adapter plate that fit the vw trans on one side and on the other side fit the subaru ea71\82 engine.

I wanted to ask if is there any difrecne in the "housing" between those engine's and the ej18\20\22, i know the flywheel is difrent but i will make it fit.

The adapter plate should fit the ej engine?

The adapter plate wont work for the EJ motor the bellhousing is different than the ea style motors.

The engine you want is an ea81. These can be built to 100HP with some pretty basic old engine type modifications.
