Hey guys need help with my subaru

Hey yalls,

First post by the way.Anyways.I have a 86 subaru GL.The computer light blinks 2 long 5 short (like morris code).What does this mean?:banana:

 

So i only saying what my cousin is telling me to write idk if what is above makes sense to you,If it doesent feel free to ask.:lol:

What part of Oregon are you in?

 

What are your symptoms? I have a manual, but I dont know if that will help with the computer lights...

 

There really is no symptoms.The car runs great infact.And im beaverton,97007 area code.

LOL. sorry about that, the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. it probably says check engine on it, my cars a 92, the light is on the right side of the indicators that run along the area under the gauges. i dont know exactly where it is on the 86. if its on, you'd probably know.

lol we was trying to figure out what a cel is...tah it came to me lol.im a 14 year old mechanic.

 

And yes the cel is on.

So really we are just trying to identify the problem.The problem being were trying to figure out what 2long flashes and 5 short flashes means.Weather or not thats just the way it blinks or if thats one of many codes.If it is a code trying to figureo ut what that code is.see what im sayin?:banana:

You really should let someone come look at that...

 

Im thinking that with Mile Fox's guide, you are looking at:

"25 Throttle Sensor Idle Switch or Circuit"

 

This would be your 2 long blinks and then 5 shorts (being 25)

 

Thats for SPFI

 

This is for carburetors:

"25 Manifold Vacuum Sensor or Circuit (1985-1988 Models)"

If you've got some of these guys offering to come help you, I'd take it man. These guys know what they are talking about.

 

I think we have allready heard what we want to hear budday.And im sure it's no big deal something little.But the car rubs fine.But im allso no auto mechanic.Only a 14 year old computer nerd writing what a 48 year old auto nerd tells me to.
