crcorc
Hello, I had to replace the rear section of the driveshaft on my '98 OB with one from a donor vehicle and I notice a bit of a vibration between 100-100 kmh. All u-joints seem ok. If I were to install the front section of the shaft from the same donor vehicle (I can get it for $40), and try to match up the flanges to get the phasing correct, would this get rid of the vibration? Are the front and rear sections balanced together from the factory? Thx.
Durania
Sounds like you have the driveshaft in a different place. I remember having this issue on my brat when I did a u joint. I remember there being some markings to show where it needs to meet with the diff in the correct spot. My suggestion: take it loose and rotate it one spot and drive it. Use trial and error from that point.

Use trial and error from that point. You're right. The flange can be bolted up one of two ways (180 degrees apart). I've tried it both ways and I've got it to the lowest amount of vibration possible, but it still there and is pretty agravating.
nipper
Are you sure it is a good driveshaft?
