Tapil
Sorry if this is out of place, but i read the stickies and this seemed to be the best place I could see... So late April I will be buying ether a Impreza OR a WRX, now from what I understand about the impreza and WRX is they are basicly the same car {Overlooking the turbo and the suspension...} Does that mean I can just buy a forced induction and add to the much cheaper (insurance wise/price wise) Impreza base model and have, for the most part, a WRX? Or at least something able to run within a few car spaces near the WRX? Or do you think the 3+Grand id waste on Forced induction would be better spent on the WRX its self? Or have I gone off the deep end here? *Thanks for reading *

Plus the 08 looks hideous in comparison. Or buy a used STI. As for the forced induction mod, you open yourself up to a huge world of pains in the @$$ doing so to a naturally aspirated engine. Save the three grand, buy an accessport, a downpipe, up-pipe, exhaust, and a beefier rear sway bar. Edited March 30, 2011 by Durania
ericem
My friend picked up a 08 wrx over a 09 wrx because it was very very cheap compared to the 09's. It's pretty decently quick nothing like a 265 but you can't go wrong and I think the car looks great it grows on you to the normal car ethusiast they wouldn't mind the looks of the 08 + . Only thing that sucks is compared to a 06-07 or 09+ the 08 won't make as much power with stage 2 accessport and dp. Regardless it is still a great car very quiet, smooth, handles great etc again still not as fast as a wrx 265 or sti but again very very good because of there resale IMO. Durania
The used Subaru market is flooded with 08 WRX's after all. When I was looking for me an STI, just about every single dealership I looked at, had an 08 WRX.
ericem
All the 08 wrx owners were probably pissed when the 09 wrx came out lol.
wtdash
Hi, If you buy a NEW or even a 2-3 year old NA Impreza, and put on a turbo kit, say GOOD-BYE to your warranty. If that's not an issue, they you may as well just buy a WRX or STi. :-) P.s. That cheaper insurance may also do you no good when they find it you modified it.
