92 loyale wagon "BEST SHOCK AND STRUTS???"

Featured Replies

ok i have a 92 push button 4wd 5 speed S/R loyale. i want....wait i need to replace the shock and strut setups. the ones on it are worn out and belived to be the original's. i have a 2.5l swap into the car so its a little heavier in the front. i want to use the stock setup and i plan on putting the progressive king springs on when i swap out the shock and strut setups.

so my question is since kyb doesn't make front 4WD shock and strut packages for my loyales suspension with the exception for the rear of a 4wd wagon in my year, is there anything else that would fit or be a benfincial upgrade with the stock setup or should i just got with some Oem replacements from Sachs?

any help is apprecitated

this my wagon 92 loyale 2.5rs wagon:grin:

We just put struts on my fathers 92 sedan, KYB's on the rear and Gabriels on the front. Would definitely recommend the KYB's. The Gabriel's are alright too, and cheap, but on the ones we got the diameter of the bottom (where it slides in the knuckle) was like .020' too much! Had to scrape all the paint off and still spread the collar some.

If you haven't already, check RockAuto. I've been known to find even better prices by taking the part numbers from their catalog, and search using that.

my plan so far is to put king springs in replacement of the stock loyale ones. they are about 500.00 for the springs at PRIMITIVE RACING IN OREGEON. and i think im gona do 4wd kyb's in the rear and moroe 4wd front shock and strut absorbers in the front. that should give me a better ride and replace the worn out shocks and struts. gonna be sweet.

thanx guys for your help. anymore suggestions would be great
