stichn56 Posted April 6, 2011 Share Posted April 6, 2011 i replaced both belts, checkd the timing marks, got fuel, spark, checked timing @ flywheel, ccheckd dist, still won't start. does this have an onboard pc i don't know about? please help. MilesFox Posted April 6, 2011 Share Posted April 6, 2011 disty may be 180 off. cams may be 180 out of phase. what did you use for a reference on the timing belts. if you just lined up all the dots and put both belts on, this is your problem. NWSubie Posted April 7, 2011 Share Posted April 7, 2011 Just an idea but when mine 87 Gl would not start it ended up being a single wire that ran from the fusable link box on the drivers side of the engine capartment. Drove me nuts trying to find it because it started out lose then one day came lose but when I fixed it never had an issue again. Just an idea. Hope she starts up soon.
