MaddCelt
After swapping out two injectors I fired up the engine. When I shut it down I noticed a electrical crackling sound and traced ti to this piece; I could not find my book and am not sure what it is. Could someone enlighten me? bheinen74
idle air control valve. the mechanism inside has moving plastic parts that over time wear a groove into and they can stick, malfunction, act up sporadically. If the groove is bad, temp can play a role into it sticking more, plastic does expand some as it heats up. If its is bad or acting up, best to replace with low mileage or new unit.
