95 legacy rear wheel tub & quarter panel replacement...

I was welding in a patch on the rear quarter and have come to the realization that the rear quarters and wheel tubs on my 95 legacy wagon are completely rotten, I can basically pull it aprat with my hands. The strut towers are still strong but the quarter and inner tub are rusted beyond repair.

 

I only have one more rally-x this season. After that I will be pulling the car off the road until the fall.

 

I have found a shell at a local yard that is in great shape. I plan on chopping of the complete rear quarters and strut towers and drilling off the spot welds once I get it home to see how the inner structure of the car is built up

 

I might just reinforce the strut towers and remove the inner wheel tub completely. Then just use a plastic fender liner to replace the metal rear wheel tubs.

 

Does any one have any experience with changing the rear quarters or the wheel tubs? Any tips or tricks on where to cut and splice the old and new sections?

 

Any advice or info is apreciated....
