Markus56
hey guys, im currently putting together a lifted hatchback with a H/O dual carb motor out of an airplane for a guy. tried to get it to start, but the pump did not prime. went to check voltage at the pump, but i'm getting 0 volts. had an assistant turn the key back and forth to see if anything happened. Is there a common part of the fuel system that causes this problem, and is there an easy way to bypass the fuel pump control unit? Also, where is the control unit? Thanks! ~Yohn

naru
Could be wrong, but, I think the FPCU on carbed cars won`t activate the fuel pump until it sees ignition pulses from a cranking engine. Be aware that motors w/aviation camshafts will perform poorly at low rpm.
