desertsubaru Posted April 29, 2011 Share Posted April 29, 2011 I'm pulling the Engine in the 86 wagon I bought , Everything is going smooth except the engine is locked up tight due to the last owner not putting oil in it. I put PB blaster down the plug holes and had a 2 foot breaker bar with a 2 foot pipe on it. wont budge. Guess i will try the tranny fluid down the cylinder trick to See if that loosens it. Crazyeights Posted April 29, 2011 Share Posted April 29, 2011 Back in "the day" when I used to see this all the time, and was always in a hurry to get the job done, I would take an air chisel and knock access holes in the bellhousing of the engine. I seem to recall trying to pull the engine with the convertor attached and there isn't enough forward room to do that easily. Good Luck! Let us know if you find a better solution.
