Markus56
Hey guys I've been putting togther a hatchback as a project and when i tried to get it to start, i couldn't get the fuel pump to work. I did some searching but i couldn't get anything to come up. Where should i start looking? I unhooked the pump under the car and hooked a multi meter to it, and didn't get any power. So I think the fuel pump is still good. What controls the fuel pump? Thanks!
NoahDL88
Check the fuse and the relays, swap out one of the relays with a known good one. work your way from the battery to the pump measuring for 12.7 V, where it stops there is your issue.
GeneralDisorder
You might have a bad pump - they only get power while cranking or running. Check for power to the FPCU bolted to the hood release cable bracket next to the driver's left knee. GD
Markus56
I had an assistant turn the key back and forth while checking for voltage, but i had no idea where the FPCU was. Thanks GD! we'll see what happens when i get a chance to work on it next.
