I checked with the dealer and they want $15.40 for each of the four cam seals, and 16.50 for the crankshaft seal. All of this kinda adds up, and the aftermarket stuff seems way cheaper. I checked a few of the "genuine Subaru parts" sites, but they don't seem to have the crankshaft seal and the shipping charges are rather high. davebugs Posted May 31, 2011 Share Posted May 31, 2011 I haven't gotten any in a year or so but with my discount (which isn't that much) I think they were all under 10 bucks each. Aftermarket are a bad idea - especially black ones. Did get some for a froind with an idler kit from theimportexperts that look good and brown like OEM but not installed or tested yet. I have gotten kits that include oem manufacture 'NOK' made in japan seals. Sometimes you get seals from national made in canada/mexico/usa, some parts in taiwan. With felpro and subarus, some specific gaskets or seals will be OEM nok or fuji as these are the only manufacturers for specific head gaskets, valve covers and grommets, and others. I also buy from a local parts house that does a lot of OEM brand parts..... in any case I haven't had a single problem with any of the seals I've installed. I noticed they are powered by trademotion.com and not Subaru itself. yes the crank seal is the same for ej22 and ej25 1990 - 2009 or so. yes they are subaru parts . they are a subaru dealer. you can find the part numbers at the http://www.subarupartsforyou.com site and then plug them into the subarugenuineparts.com site for a price compare.
