watjekouw
Every now and then I use a fueladdition. According to the manufacturer it will keep everything in the fuelsystem clean, such as the injectors. However, I've got the feeling that I pay always $8 for 250 ml of worthless kerosene. Can anyone comment upon this?
andyhaussler
I have allwasy used techron every other oli change(6,000 miles) In my GM car, which have terrible injectors, I have had no trouble

watjekouw
Seafoam? By the way, Andyhausller, it strikes me that Subs in the US need an engine-oilchange every 3000 miles, while in Europe that is every 8000 miles. Why is that, you think, ****ty oil in the States? I don't believe that the technical specs of American and European Subs differ.
andyhaussler
no clue, although i do know there is big push to stretch the oil changes out...saves the environment and oil...volvo just put out a car that needs an oil change every 30,000, pretty crazy
Setright
RedeX fuel products are the first I have come across that offer a noticeable difference before and after. "And it really, really, works!"
Tiny Clark
Most gasolines have cleaning additives in them. I don't use cleaners at all, and my MPG rating has surprisingly gone from about 25 mpg when I bought the car in 1999 to about 25 mpg now.

JaapH
Watjekouw If you are talking about specs of the engine, there is no real difference between the US and EU. However when it comes to fenders, body parts, drive train, brakes, mirrors, lights, towinglimits etc., you will find a lot. I know, for I have an US built Outback and I drive were you live: in the Netherlands.
watjekouw
Jaap, it still looks like an EU Outback, won't it? Are there specialities I must know of to impress my girlfriend? (Please don't tell my wife, she has taken up the art of KungFu).
rockinroller
I can't find seafoam or redex products on the shelves of any of my local autoparts stores. Any reason they wouldn't be carried here?
