Subarutex
A couple months ago, a Japanese photographer came over to the great Pacific Northwest and had a photo shoot with some of the local Impreza people. There were for a Japanese magazine called Subarism. A beautifully done magazine for only subaru's. The guy that setup the photoshoot, Ron, had a nice 2 page article done on him and his car. An Sti ver. 7 swap. At a group get together a couple weeks ago, he had a preview of the magazine for all the guys to see so he could get orders. While flipping through the magazine, after wrestling it out of the hands of the guys who's cars had been published in it, I saw perhaps the most unexpected sight. Some nice 80's Subaru Sedans. One all done up into a rally car, a carb'd one, and a nicely stock 4 door RX. Then, I flipped the page. There sat a beautiful 3 door RX. All these cars have awesome rims... just a very gorgeous site. My buddy scanned them, so I can share them all with you! First page: 2 80's sedans... one RX, one carb'd and a nice turbo legacy http://www.pbase.com/image/26754734 Second page: 2 Impreza's, another legacy turbo, and a gorgeous 80's RXII http://www.pbase.com/image/26754735 Third page: Beautiful 3 door RX, something like a justy, and 2 Impreza's http://www.pbase.com/image/26754736 I have a friend who is translating the captions for the 80's car pictures for me. Want to find out the names of those rims, see if it says if they've done anything to the cars, etc... Hope you enjoy!

Flowmastered87GL
Notice how they ALL seem to have the funky 85-86 style front bumpers?? They are painted to match still, but especially on the RX coupe (3rd page) they just look kinda mismatched. Awesome cars though
Turbone
Its nice to see the fanatics and their cars from the home country.

I HATE those style with a passion. I want the 86 spec bumpers on everything. IF i ever do my RX up again...it WILL have an 86 bumper. Heres a car from Germany...yes, that is an RX front bumper and grille...and it had the D/R installed as well...No, I dont know the guy. Was in Duisburg thos. Qman
I too prefer the '85-6 bumpers. The larger 5mph bumpers were a safety feature imposed by the US government. Nice to see Ron getting recognized for his car.

Honda's 86 Brat
Personally, I think that those hubcaps are... less than pretty Don't laugh at my question, but what makes that a touring wagon...? I have yet to learn this concept. I notice the top is raised, why is it like that?? Is there something else that makes it a touring wagon??? Andrew's not here currently to answer my soob questions... so I thought I'd come on here. I saw a wagon that had that raised roof today in town and I was really curious as to what it was for, I forgot to ask Andrew on the phone about it..... soooo someone wanna fill me in? Thanx
Flowmastered87GL
You are right, the raised roof is what makes it a touring wagon. I guess it just gives you more cargo/headroom in the back or something...
Zoombaru
I believe that the "something like a Justy" is a Pleo. There was one at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb meet last year. I took a few pictures of it, but I'm having trouble attaching them. If someone wants to host them for me, then I'll post them. I *think* Pleos are supercharged 3 cylinders, but I'm not entirely sure. I took pics of the engine bay, but didn't actually look at it.
