For the EJ25 or Ej22 anyone know what the stock fans push? is it worth while to upgrade to a higher CFM fan?

i should have that i'll look tomorrow. increased cooling is better done with a larger raditor. It is not so much air flow vs surface area.

if the thermostat regulates engine temperature then i don't think you'd see any improvements even with an upgraded cooling system - the tstat is still going to hold the engine side to 195 degrees regardless of what you do to the cooling system.

if you're towing, forced induction or autocrossing and exceeding the limits of the stock system then you might need more to keep overheating down.

If your using an auto, i would add a tranny cooler. If you want extra cooling on any engine, there is something always forgotten, the engine oil. Adding a cooler there with a thermostat will remove heat.
