WCSS6 details and stuff

Recommended Posts

Ken and I will be taking a trip to Hood River to talk out the details with the Fairgrounds people.

Please speak up with questions you'd like us to present. Any suggestions? Anything you'd like to see happen? ie: stereo competition, beer tasting, etc. . .?

On topic stuff appreciated. :)

Bugaru and I have found some wonderful trails down here about 1.5 hours from hood river..... we would love to show you all around up in there. We can go in search of closer stuff to the event location, and have a good knowledge of what's around that area too. Since hood river is so close for us, we would be happy to assist in any way we can.

On another note - Bugaru and I are planning to go mudding this next weekend - if you guys are comming down anyway - maybe you would like to play too? Maybe we could organize something....

A stereo competition may be cool, BUT if this is at the fairgrounds where the rallycrosses happen there ARE neighbors. Would it fly ok with them?

I just wanna see Subaru Styles beat out all the guys with Imprezas :D

The beer tasting would be cool if it was organized, but then the OLCC would be there possibly (and you dont want em there!), so maybe that part is just best left unorganized and a bunch of us just show up with what we want Friday night. (I found a new beer thats $9.50 a bottle

Also, camping availability, showers, etc...

Room for 200+. There are on -site pay showers.

Will look into the carwash.

Is this place like olympia was? Where we had to drive 20min to the nearest mom & pop corner store for the nearest bite to eat? Seems like everything is getting summed up. I might have to get an RC car to join the fun, would probably be alot less messy than the RallyX we had at WCSS3.

I assume there are trails nearby? Off-Road fun could include things like Hill Climb comp's, mud drags etc. If there is a nice large mud pit, we could have Tug-o-war competitions in the mud pit :)

I'm not totally familiar with the area, but a few of the OR locals say there is 4X fun not too far away. Let's hope so.

As for food on site, there will be consesions and possible meals available. We'll tell everybody with plenty of notice. If there is not, we'll advise everybody to bring food ahead of time.

There are pay-showers and nice bathrooms.

Sunday or Monday we'll have a much better idea of how it will go down. We'll promptly drop the old sticky up top and put up an official thread with proper details and stuff.
