Cali shout out

Recommended Posts

I am 30 miles east of "Sack-of-Tomatoes" off U.S. 50...............A get together of some kind would be cool; maybe at an ORV park??

Cali?.........must be an out-of-state term. With us natives, it's either NorCal or SoCal.............there is a big difference.

Actually, I have heard and used many other names and acronyms for it, but I dare not repeat any of them here.

Good Idea, BTW :headbang:

Where are there OHV's in California? Or as our Gov would call it Kahlifooahnya

There is an State Vehicular Rec Area called Hollister located near San Jose, the other OHV in the middle of the state is Prairie City 20 miles east of Sacramento.

The Bureau of Land Management also has a bunch of them.

What is a central location for everyone?

I am planning a HUNGRY VALLEY OHV trip in May.

Hungry Valley is located in Gorman. That's like an hour north of Los Angeles.

I need time to do some mods on my OBS and my BRAT. From the website, it looks like a pretty good place. I will probably do a recon run before to get an idea of what the play ground looks like. So far I can think of three soobs going. My OBS, my buddies Outback Legacy, and the BRAT. Probably take along some picnic/BBQ supplies so we can feast.

Will start a separate thread when the time approaches.

I know Holister hills verry well. used to wheel my toyota there all the time. dont know how good a sube place it is. I try not to Wheel my sube. thats what the truck does best.

I took Donald AKA stormtrooper there once and he had fun beatin on his loyal. what he lacked in vehicle ability he made up in driver ability and persistance. he was a real crowd pleaser.

yeah those of you with decent gearing would like it.

My sube is down for a few weeks if not months. I need to replace both front CV joints and i might as well do the ball joints and bearings too. My lower control arms are also beat up pretty bad and i have replacements.

I would love to make a run to hollister hills. Or even as far south as San Luis Obispo (hope i spelled that right).

Also, another thing my car needs is some gutts. The thing is as slow as a snail in december.

Erik, if your really fiending for some off-road action, keep in touch cause I usually head to Tahoe once a month or so to hit some trails I know of up there. NV Zeno is around there and now there's a new member that lives in Carson City with a brat that wants to do some wheelin too.
