Sweet82
I don't want to hijack my own thread so I'll make another. With a welded diff.... What is the weak link in the (EA-81) drive train? What is going to break first, most consistently etc... What part is the fuse? or is there several? Just trying to determine what drive train parts should be on board for an outing? Thoughts? Meeky Moose
well iwth a welded diff your not going to get any free play between the 2 rear tires.. so i'd say CV axles..
NoahDL88
either the CV's or the stub axles, either are pretty easy to replace, but annoying on a trail
old sub freak
and front cv joint, lower control arms get bent and exust studs.but they can take lickin and keep on THARSHING!!!.a good trick to pull the cvj through instaed of a slide hammer is use two old front wheel bearings. push through as far as you can. ad one bearing tighten casel? nut, remove add#2 tighten. you need to pull oil seal first, but 2 old bearings can lay at bottom of your tool box w/out taking up much room. have fun todd
