GeneralDisorder
A customer of mine's Nephew had his '95 White Legacy Wagon (OR plate # VGP 365) stolen today. It's also his Birthday so please keep an eye out for suspicious folks in a '95 wagon. More info as it's given to me..... I'm told it doesn't have any identifying damage, stickers, or seat covers, etc..... which obviously makes it hard to spot. But someone likely to steal a '95 Legacy wagon probably isn't smart enough to swap the plates out. Just hoping for a happier birthday for the guy.... any leads greatly appreciated! Thanks, GD
Tmb9862
Check Craigslist and eBay over the next couple months for anyone within a couple hundred miles parting the car out.
Turbone
Check Craigslist and eBay over the next couple months for anyone within a couple hundred miles parting the car out. Not much money in parting out a older Legacy, especially in the PNW. Probably some tweakers or joy riders. It may get dumped in a few days or a week not far from where it was stolen. Rpm90001
Sounds like a crack head needed a ride. They will find it in a parking lot someplace out of gas.

Which is why a smart operation would put anything they snatch into a faraday cage for transport and dissasembly. GD

92_rugby_subie
so you pay for service on the phone you keep in your car for tracking? Nope. Its just an app that I put on it and when I activated the app on my new phone it showed up as being like 9 feet from me and I found out it works... So might as well put it in my car so that my car doesnt disappear. Although he has gained Garage rights though because Ive seen some jimmy marks near the gas tank, and that crap is too expensive to be letting people have. Still havent seen that plate... Ive had my eyes out, will call you on the spot if I see it (and follow it as well)

Tmb9862
Seems to me the app would only work if the phone had power though... If I were going to do it I'd buy a cheap car charger, cut the cigarette lighter end off of it and splice in 12v. It would probably take three weeks for the small drain from the phone to kill the battery.
