mistrsub Posted March 10, 2004 Share Posted March 10, 2004 Hi everyone,yhis is my first post.I cracked the side mirror on my 98 Forrester.I would like to remove the mirror(non remote) to replace just the glass.Do I remove the three phillips head screws that are under the mirror frame or are there others that I haven't discovered? Sydfloyd44 Posted March 10, 2004 Share Posted March 10, 2004 No need to remove anything except for the broken glass. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE A HEATED MIRROR BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!!!! (winter package) WEAR SAFETY GLASSES AND GLOVES!!! Be cautious not to damage the backing plate, which is what the mirror attaches to. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
