bowtoot Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 My apologies if there is a thread on this already, I have looked but can not find one. I have a 1986 GL wagon with the EA82. I am planning to do a 2" lift with one of the kits from users on here. What is involved other than installing the lift? I see bits about steering linkage and differential dropping but no real info all in one place. Is there a how to thread available that will save me time in advance? The FNG Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 assuming all goes well, I will be purchasing and installing a 3" kit very soon to replace my 2" lift kit. Pretty much all it entails is 2" blocks to drop the front shocks and a 2" piece of steel to drop the rear struts. The lift accounts for the 15* off set also. 2" is the max you can go before you have to start dropping the subframe and extending the steering linkage, etc. If you want, I will pm you when my 2" lift becomes available (should be 2-3 weeks).
