Hello everyone I am new to you forum and represent Pacific Powertrain, we import never installed low hour test bench Subaru engines incluing the EE20. We have viewed this forum for some time and have decided that this would be a good time for our first post. We are located in SE Washington state and origionaly started looking at the Subaru engine to offer to the jet boat industry as a low profile, light weight, 4 stroke motor. In doing so are now becoming involved with many other applications including the automotive industry and we look forward to being involved with this forum.

Hi, I am a subaru fanatic like most of us! Well I just ingested water in to my 05 subaru WRX and am searching a replacement with my insurance money$$$$. So here I am searching through Craigslist in Washington state and came across (Pacific Powertrains web site ) well I got kind of excited that may be I would have a solution about getting my SUBIE back on the road. Well I email them stating that I had blown my engine and that I was looking for a 2.2 and that I could use some help and suggestions on what I should do? they answered back( I sold my last 2.2 and that I should consult my local mech) Wow great sales technique!! so I didn't get discouraged so I said any help would be great! and I got back check out your local jdm SITES lol,lol So I asked if they where going out of business? WOW if there not they might be headed that way..... NICE way to treat some one with MONEY and a great attitude!!!!! Thanks Pacific power inc........

As I replied to you in your e-mail we specialize in late model engines. I can supply you with a EJ255 however it would not be a direct and may require changes made before instalation. I told you that I did not have the engine you requested and that you should contact your local mechanic for suggestions as to what you might use. We would rather miss a sale than to sell someone something that we nor they are posotive will fit into the vehicle.

I do not have an answer for that question. Our purpose for importing the engines is to use them in the Jet Boat industry and we have done no fitment work on the bellhousing as our housing has to be a custom built unit.

We are currently sold out on the EE20 engine. The engine we import generally comes with the engine harness, alternator, A/C compressor, sensors, engine fuel supply system, and intake manifold. We could but do not bring in the exhaust, clutch assembly or ECU. WE are working on modifying this engine to use in welded aluminum jet boats and will not be able to use the stock items on the boats. Small Car Performance has a working ECU and is finishing a Volkswagon van conversion kit for the Vanagon. www.smallcar.com. Brian has done a lot of work on making this engine work and is very knowlegable on this conversion. Once we get more engines in I will be able to post the current cost. If anyone wants to see how they come PM me and I will send you pictures of the basic engine we generally receive.
