I just bought a 87 subaru gl 10 turbo / 4 wheel drive wagon. I can not get the defrost or the heat vents to work. The bylevel vents are all that work. I get good air flow thought vents but not thought the heat or defrost vent. Anyone with ideas feel free to jump in . I do not have any idea where to start. Thanks in advance. Try to post this question in the "Older Generation" It belongs there.

The vents are controlled by a vacuum. Check the conditions of a white canister and hoses to it. The canister is located on the passenger side close to firewall inside the engine compartment.

Good luck,

Sam

Hey Somick you are a genius. Checked under the hood to find the vac. line was off. Attached it and everything works great. Man I owe you a brew. Thanks for your help. What a great bunch of people we have here. Larry
